Australia Council for the Arts,

Drawing stories, playing with poems aims to highlight the changing
parameters of literary activity in Australian literature. The
Literature Board at the Australia Council particularly encourages
innovative, cross-artform collaborations and emerging forms of
practice. It supports projects that are visually compelling,
aesthetically engaging and conceptually sound.

The content of this exhibition demonstrates the strength and
vitality of two successful Literature Board grant recipients, multi-
award winning writer/illustrator Shaun Tan (VIC) and the creative
poetry ensemble, The Red Room Company, headed by Johanna
Featherstone (SYD). It will also feature work from the Story of the
Future, including Thursday's Fictions in Second Life, which is aimed at developing Australian writing and
narratives for digital media.
