The decor of the bathroom does matter. It is one of the places where the combinations have to match with the other areas of the house. It has always been seen that the bathroom decors are not given that much of importance. But their decoration is gaining pace with time. It has been observed so with the booming Tuscan decors also.
Bathroom decorating can be a difficult task. Since it is the room where you are your most private and often issues like water and mold have to be dealt with, hence bathroom decorating ideas can be complicated.
A Tuscan bathroom looks as though it has been there forever! Vessel sinks, marble or tile floors, tumbled marble walls and metal wall sconces for lighting are typical aspects to Tuscan bathroom design themes. Round above counter sinks are distinctively European and are often used for Tuscan bathrooms.
Color and Texture - Colors are always an important aspect of creating a Tuscan effect. Generally, colors depicting the earth naturally are usually used. Terracotta, Olive greens, Gold, Blues, and natural greens are often used colors. Tuscan style tends to be quite rustic, cracked or crumbling plaster and concrete walls are the norm. Hand plastered walls type of texture creates a perfect Tuscan effect.
The three most commonly used stones are granite, limestone, and marble. Granite - it is durable, long-lasting and heat-resistant. This stone creates a stunning Tuscan style decorating focal point but is expensive. Limestone- it is natural in appearance, but very absorbent and stains easily. It is typically used in flooring and for shower interiors. Marble - it is soft and porous recommended for bathrooms and floors. Unpolished marble is used to best complimenting this theme.
